On Sunday I went down to the CYS Cup to meet some of the kids and also give out the awards.
It was a real fun day, and there was some great talent there!....

- Cory Gibbs, who most significantly had the honor of being named to the U.S National World Cup Team in 2006, made his first U.S. Soccer National Team appearance in the summer of 2003 against New Zealand. While attending Brown University, he was named Ivy League Player of the Year, won 4 consecutive Ivy League Championships, and was named All-American 3 out of his 4 years. Cory started his professional career playing in the German Bundesliga for FC St. Pauli. He then transferred to the MLS, signing with FC Dallas. After spending just 1 season with Dallas, Gibbs decided to further his career with Feyenoord, by sealing a 4 and a half year deal. In 2006 Gibbs was named to the World Cup National Team. Gibbs then signed with UK Premiership team, Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2006. He was signed with the English side until 2009. During Gibbs time at Charlton he suffered unfortunate injuries, and after regaining full health, he decided to come back to the MLS and signed with the Colorado Rapids.
